Town of Gingles

Meeting Minutes

The regular monthly meeting was called to order by Chairman, Patrick Colgrove. Laura Martinsen, Tom Riemer, Bill Pearce and Traci Beiersdorff were also present. There were no people in public attendance.

-The August 2024 minutes were reviewed by the Board and a motion was made by Pat Colgrove to approve the minutes with seconded by Tom Riemer to approve. All in favor, motion carried.

-The August 2024 Treasurer’s report was reviewed by the Board and a motion was made by Tom Riemer, seconded by Bill Pearce to approve. All in favor, motion carried.

Comments by Clerk/Board:

• Discussion regarding Beaser Road project and possible ways to fund the project. Possibility of doing a commercial loan with the bank. Dave O’Donahue will be present at the October meeting to discuss further planning on this. More discussion to come at future meetings.
• Board discussion regarding Town of Gingles website and different permits and forms on there. Town Clerk reiterated that they discussed the specifics of public notices with the Wisconsin Towns Association. To ensure compliance with the legal requirements, proper notices will be posted on the town website and one public posting board within the specific timelines of the notice.

Old Business:

• Roads:
• Continued Patching Needs: Town Chairman identified that there continues to be patching needed on South Beaser Road. Nick Nye continues to do patching work for the town.
• – Fire Inspection Report: Town Chairman identified that the fire inspection has been completed, and new fire extinguishers have been ordered. Invoice will be sent to Town Clerk for payment.

  New Business:

• Place Ashland School on October Agenda: Town Chairman reiterated that Amanda Tutor, Business Manager, for the Ashland School District reached out both to himself and the Town Clerk regarding interest in speaking at a town board meeting. Amanda will be present at October’s meeting to serve as informational meeting to provide insight what is being asked on the school referendum.

  Building and Driveway Permits: None

  Liquor Licenses/Permits: None

  -The next monthly board meeting will be on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at 7:00 pm.

  -The bills were submitted and authorized to be paid by Board signature.

  -Meeting was adjourned.
