BUILDING PERMIT REQUIREMENTS

All applicants should attend the Town Board meeting to answer any questions concerning the permit.

All applicants requesting a building other than a single family residence MUST attend the Town Board meeting for approval of the permit.

5 acre minimum per home site.

Building permits are required for improvements over $500. Repairs, new roofs, siding and windows are exempt.

Front setback is 40 feet from edge of road right of way.

Side yard must be 25 feet from established property lines.

A sketch of your project is required.

Building permits are valid for 1 year.

Building permits are cancelable by the Town Board.

The fine for not obtaining a building permit is $500.

The permit fee is $30.00 and must be submitted with the application. Make check payable to Traci Beiersdorff, Town of Gingles Treasurer. Application should be completed in time for the monthly meeting.
